The island I have adopted is Trinidad and Tobago which is a Caribbean island located in South America. The official language is English but they also speak other languages like Trinidadian English creole, Tobagonian creole, & Trinidadian Hindustani. They have 3 different types of governments which are, Unitary state, Parliamentary republic, & constitutional republic. Trinidad and Tobago is known for is Carnival celebration. Its also the birthplace for steel pan, the limbo, and a musical outlet Soca. Its different foods to eat there like a popular dish Pelau- a rice based dish- stewed chicken, macaroni pie, & oxtails. Its a multi-religion nation, its largest religion group is the Protestant Christians, Roman Catholic Christians, Hindus, and Muslims.

U.S. Citizens do not require a Tourist Visa to enter Trinidad and Tobago. However, you will need a valid passport to travel there. You can travel there through an airplane, American Airlines, a round trip there will cost you $341 and it only makes one stop which is in Miami, duration is 6h 36m. There are multiple places you can stay like a hotel or villa. One place that looks satisfying and if you like luxury is the Villa Being, Arnos Vale, Trinidad & Tobago which is a villa like housing with your own private pool. Its also near the airport so it won't cost you much hassle finding it. To stay there for 5 days will cost you about $397. To stay there for 5 days will cost you about $74. Its located at 7 Factory Rd, Piarco, Trinidad and Tobago.
There are many places to go while visiting Trinidad and Tobago but some stand out more than others. You can go to Diego Martin which is a small town west of the capital city of Port of Spain and visit Macqueripe Bay for the beach and zip-lining. Also Williams Bay which features a boardwalk, as well as a pier for commercial and recreational boating. If you like the outside, nature, birds you can go to the Trinidad Rain forest Hike to Waterfall which is a walk through the rain forest which leads to a 65-foot waterfall where you can swim. It will cost you about $110 per person. Theres also a Trinidad Mud Volcano Hike and Food Experience, which is a full-day tour of Trinidad's historic, natural , and cultural areas. You will sample delicious East Indian cuisine in the 'doubles capital'. To get to the volcano you will have to hike through an abandoned sugar cane plantation. The volcano is a large circular pool of clay filled material. They say that the mud from the volcanoes cleans and rejuvenates your skin! After that you will hike to a calm and warm beach which is perfect for washing all of the mud. This will cost you about $130. If you are trying to shop, eat, movies, etc then you should visit C3 Centre which is a mall. Located in San Fernando, Trinidad.
