Blog #3

The narrative Tetiyette is a short story about a young girl who is hard to please until something really catches her eye like the devil. The devil had been preying on her for a minute and he had to wait for the right time. He wore flashy clothes to grab her attention because he knew she would like that. Her mom and dad told her to be careful with him and if the blood flows he is human but if slime oozes he is the devil. which of course slime oozes but she didn't care because she was so in love. She told her mom that blood flowed and her mom went along with it. He made her fall in love with him and he begin taking advantage of her (eating her). Once Tetiyette realized what was going on and called for help it was to late and her parents didn't help her because they told her to be careful and she didn't listen.. The father said " Agh! I don't give a damn! I had already warned her to beware.". Meaning she should've listened the first time instead of when something bad is happening. But her brother wanted to help and he did because that was his only sister and he felt bad so he really saved her life. I believe the intended audience is kids because of it using the characters as animals but it can also be for adults about loving people for the wrong reasons. The message I believe to be is don't judge a book by its cover. The devil put on a cover up with all the jewelry and telling her nice things just because he wanted to eat her because he had been preying on her for a long time. She used the devil as a character because the devil represents evil and/or bad but can be conveyed to be something else which is why he came to her as this nice person with flashy jewelry but once she got comfortable with him the devil came out.  The pig was used because if you think about it nobody wants a pig as a husband, which would be probably fat, sloppy, and ugly to a young girl, so that's why she rejected him. The goat was use because the goat would come off as a nice, pushover type of person and a young girl wouldn't want that either.
